Career Resource Center boasts of their high-caliber volunteers who bring executive level advice to job-seekers and board leadership with excellent business acumen. For the 20th anniversary year, CRC announced their new board president, Fred I. Seff of Highland Park, Illinois. Fred has diverse experience from administration and financial management to process improvement and strategic planning. Currently a business consultant, Seff spent over 15 years with Astellas Pharma (formerly Fujisawa Healthcare) in Deerfield as Assistant Director. Seff will lead a board that has enjoyed the success of serving over 10,500 individuals as their “Job Search Partner” since 1990. Strategically, CRC is poised to face the next decade with a new approach to marketing communications through a more interactive website and proven techniques for supporting clients. Executive Director Jan Cline Leahy states that their success is due to individual assessment of job seekers and helping them understand and better articulate their value to an employer. Clients are able to more successfully market themselves in today’s competitive market. “Technology is critical to success in business today but at CRC we realize our job seekers are best directed with an individual, personal approach to help them re-package their skills and prepare a focused search using proven relevant strategies for today’s employment market,” explains Leahy. “Careers are quickly evolving and we want to build skills to react to change.”
