Mike Kramer:

Born and raised in Chicago, Mike moved back to the area after a 35-year career in product development, national sales and college recruitment with General Motors. In 1999, Mike Kramer heard about CRC and its need for volunteers in a church bulletin. Today, he works on a weekly basis as an advisor and is an important part of the Development Team.

Mike is an enthusiastic advisor who sees a bright future for people who use the many tools available at CRC. He has volunteered his talents for over six years, helping people “find their strengths and guide them.” Mike sees the ever-growing need for this organization in the community. “The marketplace is dramatically different than before. Companies are very selective, and they take a long time to make a hiring decision. As companies downsize and our economy is strained, our role at CRC is very important,” he says.

Mike enjoys helping people find the best direction and mentoring them in a difficult and stressful time. However, his favorite part of volunteering is hearing the success stories! “It makes it all worthwhile,” he stated. “Plus, I am an upbeat person, and I try to give them hope while giving them the tools to succeed.”
