How do I choose an Advisor to fit my needs?

Most candidates think that it’s important to select an Advisor who has been in the same industry or discipline. But that’s not the case when you’re job hunting. Instead, set up an appointment with the first available Advisor. You may want to continue with your first advisor or they may recommend that you see someone else.

Typically, after your first meeting, you’ll choose an Advisor based on what you’re trying to accomplish and stick with them if you like working with them. Are you: Trying to create and polish your resume? Getting ready for an interview? Targeting specific companies? Some Advisors have extraordinary skills in specific areas. And, they are all capable of handling almost any question you’ll have. Settle on one or two who you’re comfortable working with. more info
