Career Resource Center, Inc.® is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that provides professional assistance to individuals in employment transition. The Center’s services reflect prevailing marketplace conditions. Volunteers who staff the Center have extensive experience in search methods, consulting, outplacement, career management and human resources. For a nominal processing fee, clients have access to all services offered.

PRIVATE ADVISOR SESSIONS
By appointment. Private, confidential one-hour sessions on any phase of the job search. Topics include: resumes, networking, interviewing, plan of action, compensation, etc. Cancellation: 48 hours notice please.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Clients can attend day or evening sessions on a variety of topics related to job search, as well as programs that deal with motivational, emotional and financial issues.

INTERVIEW TRAINING
By appointment. Advisors help prepare clients for interviews via personalized discussion on techniques or mock interviews that may be videotaped and critiqued. Dress for an interview, arrive ten minutes early and bring a videotape.

REFERENCE MATERIALS
A wealth of employment directories, newspapers, literature, articles, how-to books, and guides are available. A database of national employers is accessible via an Internet subscription to Reference USA.

INTERNET JOB SEARCH TRAINING

By appointment. Personal trainer available on Tuesday evenings and Thursday afternoons to assist you with on-line job search sites, use of Reference USA (database of national employers), setting up remote e-mail, and converting resumes for electronic delivery.

INDIVIDUALIZED COMPUTER TRAINING
Trainer available monthly to help clients solve software issues and answer general computer related questions. Call the office for times available and appointment.

COMPUTER & OTHER EQUIPMENT USE

Clients have access to a computer lab with eight workstations, all with high speed Internet access and current versions of Microsoft Office. Printers, fax, telephones and photocopier are also available.


NETWORKING SESSIONS
Outside professionals facilitate an animated exchange of information between participants. Expand your network, gather information on potential employers, and assist others with their job campaigns.

EMPLOYMENT CLEARING HOUSE
Job openings, interim and temporary listings, contract options, and entrepreneurial opportunities received from employers and recruiters are posted.
